Things to do in London, England

Posted on 12 March 2012 by Admin

It’s Monday, hence it’s time for “Things to do in”.

The Olympic Summer games are around the corner. London is a big city. There’s a lot to see and many stuff to do.

You need some inspiration?

Thames river cruise

A Thames river cruise is without doubt one of the best ways to see London. You know, we love cruises ;-)

There are so many sights you can see from the Thames river. The London Eye, The Clock Tower (Big Ben), The London Bridge….

Normal tickets fare is £13.50 per adult or you continue to read this article to learn how you can get Free all day hop-on-hop-off ticket.

The Tower of London

The Tower of London is one of the world’s most famous fortresses and has seen service as royal palace. As well filming location for several movies like The Doctor Who Christmas Special, just to mention one.

Bicycle Tour

One of the best ways to discover a big city is by bike, what do you think? Naturally, you can hire a bike in London. It’s not only eco-friendly, it’s also big fun.

Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre Tour and Exhibition

One of my personal highlights in London. If you’ve seen the 3th season of Doctor Who, you have to visit this awesome place. It is not only the filming location of the famous episode “The Shakespeare Code” of Doctor Who, it is also a place you can’t miss, while you’re in London. This modern building is a faithful reconstruction of the Globe, first built in 1599, and perfectly evokes the atmosphere of Elizabethan London. Great history, great Doctor Who, do I have to say more?

Normal Ticket Price: Adult: £12.50 or you continue to read this article to learn how you can get free entry.

Churchill War Rooms

London is a city with a long  history. At this place you can learn more about Sir Winston Churchill, and the secret underground headquarters that were the nerve centre of Britain’s war effort.

London Pass

maybe one of the greatest invention to save money in London on admissions and public transport. All the highlights of London we mentioned earlier are included.

Basically, the The London Pass  is a sightseeing city card – like a credit card with a computer chip inside – which gives you entry to a choice of over 55 popular tourist attractions in the city.

It’s everything you need for a great sightseeing experience – once you’ve bought a London Pass you don’t have to pay to get into any of the attractions it covers. Simply show your card at the entrance or ticket office of any attraction included on the London Pass

Benefits:

  • You get Free entry to over 55 top London attractions and tours, including Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the London Bridge Experience, a Thames River Cruise and many more
